Ok, I figured out the problem. The last time I compiled lirc I noticed that it was looking to /usr/src/linux for kernel source. I hadn't changed the symlink to point to my newly rolled kernel 2.6.11 so it was still pointing to the old Suse 9.2 kernel sources 2.6.8-24.11-default. I did a cvs update, and changed the symlink (as well as my lilo config to point to /boot/vmlinuz-2.6.11) to make the /usr/src/linux point to /usr/src/linux-2.6.11/ recompiled lirc and everything worked!!!!
I don't know if the lirc guys watch this list, but it would be nice if they could make the install look to /usr/src/uname -r/ instead of /usr/src/linux/ for kernel sources. Thanks for the help on this guys! Rob On Wed, 2005-03-09 at 22:12 -0700, DTD wrote: > Hi all, > I am a first time subsciber to this list and I am hoping that someone > can help me with this.
