Also I just found this in dmesg

cx25840: Decoder set size 480x480 (from 720x487) -> scale 524288x65529, filter 0

I set it back to 720x487 and every time I select "Watch TV" it sets the encoder back to 480x480. Which size do I really want? 720x487 displays great on my monitor (don't have a tv to hook up yet). Is 480x480 a default setting in myth? and if so why? All I want to do is record and watch tv and burn shows to DVD to play on my stand-alone DVD players.

Here's whats happening

loaded ivtv

modprobe ivtv

tested card

cat /dev/video0 > test.mpg

played the file with mplayer and it played perfectly!

Then I loaded mythbackend and now all I get in "Watch TV" is a zoomed image with the right side cropped about %20. Even when I cat /dev/video0 I get the same thing. If I reboot and then cat /dev/video0 the picture is perfect again until I load mythbackend. How can I change the settings mythbackend is sending to the PVR-150. I googled all over for cropped picture...etc but couldn't find any answers.

BTW...I am using my monitor to watch tv until the WAF is higher.

Hardware
PVR-150
FX5200
Sound Baster Live Value
Athlon Thunderbird 1Ghz
Asus A7V - via chipset :-(

Software
Gentoo 2.6.10 kernel (vanilla sources)
ivtv 3.2i
Mythtv 0.16

Please help
