It was suggested I try x11vnc. It worked well, but as I was searching for info I discovered this. http://www.linux-noob.com/forums/lofiversion/index.php/t1219.html
This solution works very nicely for remoting to display 0 without installing other software and making sure it runs automatically.
Everything done on one desktop is reflected on the other. (except live TV, but I didn't need that)
You can also connect to display 1 if no interference to whatever myth is doing is desired.
