If you are using DVB then you will be getting a MPEG stream directly from the card and just streaming it to disk - Myth will do pretty much nothing with it, it certainly does not re-encode. > However, in my case, I am still encoding the video > stream in software, as I don't believe that my DVB > card has a hardware MPEG encoder built in. It won't have a hardware MPEG encoder - doesn't need one since the over- the-air format is MPEG.
