Chris, I think the only way to have this work (not sure though completely, kind of a hunch) would be to use mplayer configured with ivtv output support. This way maybe you can decode the video through the 350, and still be able to send the audio to the SPDIF for AC3 decoding externally. As far as I can tell, mythtv itself, or the ivtv driver, cannot split the streams and have one go to the 350 and the other to the soundcard. Enabling 350 output in mythtv itself is purely for livetv and playback of material and not for the other components like mythvideo. I think the initial Hauppauge raison d'etre of the 350 is to decode the mpeg2 video/2-ch audio it encodes with its on-board encoder (but it also works well with UK DVB-T which does not have 2ch audio). Having it work in these other ways is not something supported as yet AFAIK.
