FYI: I've heard reports of being unable to get 1080i to work correctly with nVidia cards, especially when using DVI. I'm pleased to report that it seems to be working more or less correctly with the -7174 driver and my FX 5200 card.
Thanks to Sony's InsaneOverscan(tm), it's really about 1717x993 instead of 1920x1080. I do, however, have a flicker problem with horizontal lines. It's especially bad in an xterm with the hyphen character, but some horizontal elements in the Myth GUI also flicker noticeably. I'm not sure where the problem lies there, and I don't know if it will impact video. --PC
