Stuff that works: Video playback (recorded, live, mythvideo, etc) Multichannel audio playback
Stuff that is annoying: Can't mute and actually get 0 audio output, and can't set volume slider to 0 and get no audio When playing or unpausing mythtv's internal player, the volume starts very low and then goes to normal after a split second. This is also very annoying when paused in the middle of dialog. Stuff that's thoroughly broken: 5.1 AC3 playback on DVD's or DVD rips - the volume control doesn't do squat. Minimum volume is exactly the same as maximum volume, and I have to get up and us the darned speaker knob to change the volume - which means I have to get up again and unchange it when my video is done playing, or whenever I just want to change the volume ( which is very often ). My playback hardware: NVIDIA MCP-T (soundstorm) using analog speakers plugged into the straight up analog ports on the back of an NF7-S. I would appreciate any input on these issues...
