This doesnt intuitive to me but if there is a workaround using
priorities I can use that instead for the time being.
If you're saying you want to ensure the 10min before and after, just set
the "Start Early" and "End Late" fields for the recording rule. Global
padding is optional--primarily meant to give your card time to get its
act in gear before the show starts, which assumes that it will be ready
for the following recording without any padding.
