Good questions. I suspect the PVR/ivtv because of the stuff I've seen on the ivtv mailing list. I've had this machine running since October, and for the vast bulk of that time it's Just Worked. This is a fairly recent problem (a month or less). I've discounted a hardware issue because I know that it has worked with this hardware (I could, of course, be wrong).
