That's telling me that your database isn't corrupt its non existent. You
have no seek tables.

I didn't read the full thread. Didn't notice you were auto-transcoding. Not
sure if the transcoded file plays in myth or if it calls out to your media
player (mplayer/xine) If it does then this is not a mythtv problem.

FFW/RW works fine for me in mplayer

Not sure if commercial skip works on a transcoded file. Also someone else
mentioned x3 speed. How do you do this? The fastest I can go in my
recordings are 1.5x or jump 30 secs forward, 5 secs back, or 10 mins both
ways. But I do not 

One other thing, thou it wont help if the files are not played in myth.
Your original post said "In CVS from today". Have you tried updating to the
lastest version? Also make note that CVS is nolonger kept up to date. You
need to get the source from subversion. Goto http://cvs.mythtv.org/trac/ to
find out how.
