OR if you actually want the mythtv log files create /var/log/mythtv
with the permissions appropriate to the user who's running the daemon
(root). The issue is that you cannot create

Especially since the script in /etc/init.d says the backend is running fine but ps and mythfrontend tell a different story. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
