I am running FC3, so not sure how much help this will be. The only way I could get TV out on my 350 to work was to setup the system's initial ram disk to include the drivers for the 350's output. Once that was done I shut down the PC and then unplugged the monitor and only had the TV hooked up. Then booted. It worked fine after that. I think part of the key is not to have the monitor plugged it.
If you are just doing a ctrl-alt-backspace to restart X it may not work. I think FC3 was remembering the monitor setting somehow and not finding the TV. Just my uneducated thoughts on the subject.
