This is running on a clean install of 0.18.1. I added the transports,
scanned, and it works straight off. I was previously using a script to
insert the channels based on channels.conf. It's all working beautifully
now, thanks :)

there's a dvb_channel entry tied by chanid to the channel entry and

dvb_* tables aren't used any more. Which version of MythTV are you
running? Once you install 0.18, you must go into mythtv-setup and scan
for channels; upgrading from 0.17 will not preserve a working DVB
configuration.
