And it's still not working.  I can actually trigger the error though. 
When I click on the Status tab in Mythweb, it starts the ball rolling,
every time.  From then on, I get the error both from mythweb and in
the terminal I started mythfrontend on (on the same machine, just for
troubleshooting's sake) noting a MYTH_PROTO_VERSION error.

Any further ideas?
