I've had a problem with mythtranscode which has made it impossible to export recordings. It's been bothering me for a while, and with Google I've found people out there that have had similar problems but never a solution.
When I try to run mythtranscode on a recording that's more than a few months old, it silently quits. There's no error message and no apparent cause. I've tried running strace on it. The command line for this is as follows: strace mythtranscode --showprogress -p autodetect -c 1013 -s 2005-01-23-17-28-00 -f "/tmp/fifodir_9265/" --honorcutlist The end of the trace is as follows: fcntl64(6, F_SETFL, O_RDWR) = 0 write(6, "U\0\0\0\3SELECT data FROM settings W"..., 89) = 89 read(6, "\1\0\0\1", 4) = 4 read(6, "\1", 1) = 1 read(6, "\30\0\0\2", 4) = 4 read(6, "\10settings\4data\3\377\377\0\1\374\3\20\0\0", 24) = 24 read(6, "\1\0\0\3", 4) = 4 read(6, "\376", 1) = 1 read(6, "\1\0\0\4", 4) = 4 read(6, "\376", 1) = 1 munmap(0xb5b48000, 372736) = 0 munmap(0xb7f4a000, 8192) = 0 exit_group(0) = ? Before I go hunting through mythtranscode's source code, does anyone have any ideas of what could be causing this or of anything I could try?
