no sound no anything. I can hear the drive crunching, look in the
directory that the recording is going into, and watch it grow, just
it is only recording a black screen, no video, no audio. I have
started mythfrontend with -v all option and looking at that see
that it is bitching about audio rates that it wants and cant have
and that it is dropping frames, so I suspect that it's a sound
issue. I had it configured with the onboard via sound card, then
installed a sound blaster live, still same results. Sound works
fine for watching tv and all other sound functions. Also, if I run
"cat /dev/video0 > /tmp/someshow.mpg, it records beautifully with
sound, etc. I must have some setting wrong in my myth record
options but this is a pvr-350 and initially thought I had something
wrong with the ivtv modules. I have
AMD 3000+, FC4, 512MB RAM, 2.6.13-1352 kernel with all options
installed as per wilsonet.com/mythtv.
Not real familiar with ivtv, I thought that maybe it was trying to
record using a different device node, whatever. At this point I am
really frustrated, any thoughts? TIA
Change your recording profiles in Myth. You should specify an
appropriate audio sample rate--use 48KHz.
Won't fix your /dev/dri problem, but should allow you to watch
recordings.
I did that first off, I remember that from long ago.
Did you do that in all of your profiles? It sounds like you did it
for LiveTV, but not for the Default profile.
