not idiot, just ignorant in this case. I'm no idiot, yet I'm ignorant to coding, so I don't try to. But I can help in other areas, so I do try. My issue with Isaac is that he refuses to believe that the grammar of the svn.mythtv.org page may be incorrect, or that the information could be clairified further. He also fails to understand that while it may not be his intent, there are average joe's using SVN and without some disclaimers these people are not going to follow rules listed on completely different page. The MythTV.org docs don't even explain this stuff, so don't expect joe-accountant who finds MythTV really cool and wants to get some of the latest updates running and decides to go to SVN to get them to know what obscure page to look at. Adding a few sentences to the svn page solves all these issues, and he doesn't even have to maintain it, he's got users on this list willing to help out in this area so that he can worry about making the changes to LiveTV and getting it back to operational order quicker. somone else just recently posted quite a lengthy email regarding F/OSS developers ignorance to user experience, so I won't get into that except to emphasize the fact that this would not be the first F/OSS project I've tried to involve myself in only to find that the developers have very little use for improving the user experience. Some are willing to work with the users that want to help in this area, some don't, I now know where Isaac stands and I will not try and provide any help again.
