Hi Nick, My Dad's machine is having a similar problem. I've tried deleting the existing PVR-150 card in mythtv-setup and then creating a new card. Same problem. I have tested the PVR-150 using ivtv-tune and cat /dev/v4l/video0>test.mpg. I can tune to any channel, record it for 5-10 seconds and play it in mplayer. all looks good so this seems to be a MythTV issue. Were there any restarts required? mythbackend or mysql? When I try to watch live TV it plays 1 second of video with audio, then freezes for about 15 second. It then returns to a Myth screen that says: Error was encountered while displaying video. The log file doesn't say much, unless it's the last line: 2005-11-25 10:52:38.111 adding: gandalf as a client (events: 0) 2005-11-25 10:52:38.155 adding: gandalf as a client (events: 1) 2005-11-25 10:52:38.163 adding: gandalf as a client (events: 0) 2005-11-25 10:52:38.195 adding: gandalf as a client (events: 0) 2005-11-25 10:52:38.211 adding: gandalf as a remote ringbuffer 2005-11-25 10:52:40.567 joined null string in WriteStringList I'd really like to solve this today as I got here yesterday and leave early tomorrow morning.
