I am trying to get the mythtv backend working with my HD2000. getatsc works fine with the DVB system, so I am sure that the card is OK.
When I did the channel scan, it cycled through the channels by channel number, from 2 to 70 or so, and as it found the channels it showed the signal strength (e.g. channels 34, 38, 40, 42 which are the major networks around here). However, all it seems to have saved in the database are these non-human-usable transport frequencies. Do I have to go and figure these out on my own? It seems kind of silly to not save the channel numbers as it is doing the scan. I tried to guess the channel numbers, but I just get a timeout when I try to watch live TV. It also appears that the scanning process has changed recently - all of the documents I found on Google have a slightly different set of instructions. Is there a HOWTO out there somewhere for this? It seems like forcing users to look at transport frequencies is horribly broken - I must be doing something wrong. Also, is there any sort of mailing list or IRC channel dedicated to Hi Def issues? If not, can we create one? Thanks, Mark _______________________________________________ mythtv-users mailing list [email protected] http://mythtv.org/cgi-bin/mailman/listinfo/mythtv-users
