Scott, Yes, I ran 'yum update' successfully. I am still getting the same error (user or otherwise) though; when I type 'yum install ivtv-firmware-audio' yum tells me: 'Nothing to do'
I am pointing to both stable and testing atrpms package depositories, am I perhaps naming the package wrong?
