There is a check_nt as part of the standard nagios plugins (http://nagiosplug.sourceforge.net/).
The only difference between that and the check_nt which came with pnsclient.exe is the fileage checking (which isn't implemented yet in nsclient++ - or if it is it doesn't work). You can use NSClient++'s CheckFile via NRPE instead. Also the old nsclient used port 1248, nsclient++ defaults to 12489 (configurable in nsc.ini).
