A quick look at the NagioSQL web page gives me little confidence.  No documentation or screenshots.

I've been playing with both Monarch and Fruity.  Both are (to me) Alpha quality, regardless of any RC monnikers the developers attach to them.

I needed to patch both to make them usable:

Fruity: http://sourceforge.net/tracker/index.php?func=detail&aid=1457860&group_id=136248&atid=734752

And also this patch to make services imported from Nagios 1.x configs editable:

Monarch: A fix for the Ajax stuff not working with recent CGI::Ajax versions -

So far, I am not overly impressed, but Fruity shows promise.  Monarch is way too slow.

Cheers,

Doesn't NagiosQL2005 dictate where you can install it and where nagios should be installed ?
I use /usr/local/nagios ... for my location but NagiosQL2005 seems to want to force
a certain directory structure which just would not work for me.

It seems a little inflexible as there must be many nagios installs whereby changing the structure
would just create far too much work just to get this working.

Does anyone disagree here ?

deborah

Hi

Like Deborah says "This has been discussed to death. I'd suggest use google and look around
to
"
I tried the Fruity, Nag2Web,NagiosQL and som other configtools
But for "me" the best is NagiosQL - www.nagiosql.org
It´s a php tool with mysql . very handy
I serve about 2500 services and around 150 hosts with this tool and i never had problems.

I use NagiosQL 2005 http://www.nagiosQL.org and it works for our daily job.

It is easy to install and to configure.
If you want to give it a try i can assist you with the configuration.

Features
are

Import/export
Easy navigation
Backup function

Give it a try

Regards

/Jörg

This has been discussed to death. I'd suggest use google and look around
to
see what is out there - try them out because
everyone has difference preferences to what will work for them.

Alternatively, write your own and then you only have yourself to please!

:)
