(which is also cgi-bin). Note though - change the AuthUserFile path to wherever
you are storing the htpasswd.users file. It doesn’t have to reside in the
sbin directory, in fact since that directory is remotely/publically accessible
via the webserver, its probably a better idea that it isn’t. As long as
the path in When i was getting the 'return from whence
you came error', this was exactly my problem - i hadn't set up authorisation
correctly and the above was how i fixed it. Incidentally, I have the authentication
set up identically as described in the manual (with paths changed accordingly),
and mine doesn’t work J |
