Hi, everyone. We would like to know if there is any way of modifying the interval between host checks, I mean, something similar to "retry interval" for services.
Checking out our logs and reading the documentation I guess this it´s not possible, it seems that nagios, when checking the state of a host, performs the "max_check_attempts" at most checks one inmediately after another, without any interval between them. Is there any way to change this behavior? Our reason for this is that sometimes there are little losses in conectivity but the host hasn´t gone actually down, so it would be better waiting some time in the host check, as it can be done with services, so that we don´t get notified unnecessarily. I guess the only way of getting through this would be playing with notifications but if someone has any other idea or some suggestions about this, I would really appreciate it... Thanks in advance.
