Sorry about top posting, but i'm using Notes and it sucks Nagios just uses /bin/mailx which also relies on local sendmail/qmail/whatever to be configured properly.. I built my own perl emailer to connect directly to a configured mail server, use a configured FROM address and send TO an address passed to it by Nagios. This script also formats the alert output so it's reasonably easy to change to suit your purposes..
