Now come on I didn't know what the hell I was doing when I started using this software a few weeks ago either, and now I do. It just takes some time and reading and he'll get it! Linux as well as software written for it can often be confusing, and down right frustrating. Stick with it long enough and you will conquer the troubles and be much better off.
