Hi,

I am trying to monitor Sybase on windows clients. I had planned on
making a hostgroup of all such machines and defining a single
service/check for them.

But I realized that in every machine Sybase instance is named as
SYBSQL_machinename

This means I will have to pass that particular service name individually
to check_nt.

I am using nsclient++

define service{
        use                    generic-service
        host_name              winserver
        service_description    sybase
        check_command          check_nt!SERVICESTATE!-d SHOWALL -l
STBSQL_WINSERVER

}

Is there any way to resolve this so that I can just mention the
hostgroup name and need not write separate checks.

Kindly help,

Lalita
