I'm starting to collect Nagios-equivalent solutions to these free Servers
Alive add-ons.

Some of the webapp (e.g. webinject) and event log (e.g. check_nt / nc_net /
etc) stuff is easy enough, but I'm looking for other F/OSS versions of, say,
the AV update checker and SMTP2POP3 plugins. Anyone else have suggestions?
I used to use Servers Alive quite heavily until I found Nagios. Hopefully
this thread will help others who are also making that transition.
