That's a good sign. Is nagiosadmin listed in a contactgroup for the hosts/services _or_ specified as authorized_for_all_services and authorized_for_all_hosts in cgi.cfg? Is main_config_file specified correctly in cgi.cfg? use_authentication=1 is set in cgi.cfg?
