With the CGI-Interface, a Host or Service problem can be manually acknowledged. This acknowledge is being removed either manually on the CGI or automatically if the host or service recovers.
Question: Is there a possibility to prevent the automatic removal of the acknowledge if the host or service recovers? Background: If a host or service is down, the group of admins get a notification. The first who is working on this issue sets the acknowledge, indicating to his colleagues he's on the problem. Before he really can solve the problem the host or services comes up for a short time, resetting the acknowledge and goes down again. If he isn't fast enough now to set the acknowledge once again - a second admin (may be from his home office) would start to debug too. In our context this behavior would make more sense. Any help or comment is appreciated!
