I have come across NDO before, but unfortunately I cannot run MySQL in the production environment, and so I have to find a different solution to this problem. I found an NDOUtils Oracle, but I believe that it is still in a pre-alpha state, and so probably not suitable for a production environment with thousands of checks occurring.
