The only reason I don't recommend RHEL5 for the main Centreon server was the prerequisites, I found that many of the packages that were needed were behind the versions needed. So I was uninstalling the packages and compiling from source code, which is fine up to a point. I spent a couple of weeks on it and then out of frustration looked for something more suitable, for me that was Ubuntu server 8.04 LTS. Virtually all of the dependancies needed were available directly from ubuntu and there was an install script available that downloads everything you need to build Centreon and Nagios.
