I personally use Bondex 2 (acid), but others have used both, try different
ways see what works for you.

I am in the process of building a studio at my home. It's not a bacteria. It
is not there if I remove the acrylic. It only happens when I use the line out,
so I will stop using it and see what happens. Thank you very much for the

Try not to use the lineout for a few fills and see if this problem goes
away....do not expect for the existing mark to go away...that might very well
be a psuedenomas bacteria and it has to grow out. (after "killing" it by
exposing it to air... The mark remains because it is what is left behind from
the ps. bacteria after it dies....) IF it is from the lineout you might be
able to file it away....but really why are you using lineout? do you have
lifting issues? are you nipping the ac? If you only file what is lifted you
will not have fill lines...but be careful not to file the natural nail! If it
was me... I would remove the ac from the nails affected...if the stain remains
it might very well be Ps. bacteria...that would be one way to figure this out.
(then of course replace the ac...)

She doesn't smoke and she claims that she wears gloves when she cleans, and
she doesn't wear make-up. I think it is the line out that I am using. I
posted about that and some people agreed that the line out could be the
problem. Thanks for your input! Yes, very frustrating trying to figure out
how to solve nail dilemmas!

I've seen this with smokers, too. It's always the pointer and middle
finger of their dominate hand that get stained from the smoke. The
lifting might be due to her typing on the register, but the yellow
could be from the smoke creeping up under the lifted part. Or it could
be chemicals, if her hands are in any cleaners. Or makeup, too. But
most likely it's her job that causes the lifting, but then the other
stuff she comes into contact gets under the lift. Isn't it fun to play
Sherlock Holmes with nails? LOL
