Kimberly, Look at it this way, it certainly wouldn't hurt to go to the other businesses.? Pick up? inexpensive business card holders so that you can leave your cards on their counters if they will allow it. My previous salon? did that when we opened.? We had? small fliers made up that they could post in their break rooms, for Deli's and restaurants we asked if we could attach a flier at or near their door or in their window, as well as putting our business cards on their counter.? We also reached out to the local schools. town hall, and the hospital.
You may or may not generate business from going door to door.?? But at the very least you know that you did your best to get your name out there. I was wondering if any of you are willing to share your experiences with introducing yourself to your community? I am thinking of going around my downtown area ( I am located in a small downtown area) introducing myself and handing out some sort of info with a special offer to owners and employees of the local businesses. Any advice ?
