Shannon,

Usually, glue isn't involved. They are pressed into nearly set acrylic or the
tacky layer of gel. they are then overlaid with more of the same product.
Hope that helps a little!

Subject: NailTech:: glue and clay canes

Ok, I am having a dillema here. I am desperately trying to conquer these
clay canes, I would have done a fairly quick job with them, had it not been
for my glue taking forever to set up. Now I have to tell you I was using my
Mach 5 that I know from experience that it sets up really really fast
especially sticking your fingers together, anyway....so what do you all use to
apply your canes to the fingernail to get them to stick down? I have my canes
almost paper thin, so that they are fairly flexible and as flush as I can get
them. I am hoping to get an Ah Ha moment when I get my nails done in Vegas
with Loni, I am going to watch her like a hawk.
I did a really simple set last night, not sculpted, it was during a fill
and I used her length that already had gel on them, anyway, I was only
applying three canes per hand and it took me I would dare say close to 20
minutes just getting these dang things to stay put. Glue and hold and blow and
hold and darn it resituate hold and blow. I'm telling ya I would have had her
done in about an hour and a half at the most, but we were at least two hours.
ARgghhhhhh!!! Thank god she was my last client.

Please help............. I gotta figure these things out.

  Thanks
  Shannon
