Ah no. lol Don't ya hate it when your expectations are not even remotely
reached? Being me, lol, I'd a spoken up and said something. ;) I have noticed
in the last year that if I don't get what is advertised and/or expected, I'm
saying something. lol I mean I'm not a raving lunatic or anything, but they
KNOW that I am not happy, and why,?and I'm the one who is paying.

Subject: NailTech:: Field Trip to a Fancy Spa

Today I was sent to a Jane Iredale Cosmetics open house 1.5-hr drive
away from my house to get educated so I can start selling their stuff.
After a bunch of product knowledge sessions, I got enough of Jane
Iredale and decided to leave after 3 hours. I got a $39 spa mani at a
nearby fancy spa to check them out. Had an appointment at 3:45 pm.
Waited about 5 min., then a tech shows up and told me to wait just a
few minutes. Another few minutes past. "Come on in this way!" Finally
got escorted to a nail room several minutes past the appointment time.
I looked down and spotted that the tech wearing flip-flops, the beach
sandals.... The nail room was cluttered with stuff on the shelves with
perfect paraffin cardboards and nail supplies. I'm thinking this almost
looks like an warehouse backroom. The perfect paraffin unit sitting
slightly opened on the floor. Polish bottles were sitting on the floor
in 3 different buckets. "Have a seat." "Where?" "Over there." "Oh, ok."
I sat down. She moves the cheap-looking rolling mani table towards me.
She sits on a pedi chair across me. I asked for a fench nail and was
told that my nails were too short and won't look good. Fine then. She
sets the manicure bowl and told me to dip in. No hand washing, anyone?
No sanitizing? OK.... I dip my hands in, playing with rocks on the
bottom. Someone comes in without saying anything. The nail room door is
wide open, so staff walking in and out freely. The other tech started
talking to my tech, completely ignoring me. They talk about her next
client and chat about their vacation. Meanwhile, I'm quietly sitting,
listening to their "shop" talk. Hands out the bowl, please. Time to
scrub. Got scrubbed and then rinsed back in the mani bowl. Next is the
hand massage I'm dying to get. A quick 5-min hand and arm massage
later, tech says "getting sleepy, hon?" Not really. I'm wide awake and
dissatisfied, thinking this is all to the supposedly nice hand/arm
massage? The polish job was good. I hope it lasts as she didn't clea
n
my nail beds after she oiled me. I'll keep looking for a real spa
manicure experience elsewhere more close to my home.... Oh, but my
hands smells really good with the lotion she put on me. I guess I paid
my money's worth....
