Elaine,
Yes! Interesting. I have a few clients with Raynaud's. Mostly, aside from the
cold hands, their hands seem to always be swollen.
It is interesting that you find that polish dries with warm. I found that
anything emitting warmth will keep the nails from drying or taking too long to
dry. I only use cold air fans now. In the severe cold, I do have a ceramic
heater that blows on the client, but that fan is always on the nails!
You mentioned UV. My thoughts on that are: what if she mixed the color the
client chose with a UV top coat and used three coats? And cured under the UV
lamp? She would still have the color and then would just have all UV on. Just a
thought.
buenos dias,
Lynnette

Heidi,
I am NOT diagnosing your client, but if her hand is constantly cold, it could be that she has Raynaud's Disease/Raynaud's Phenomenon.  Go to this link for more info:

It would seem that the cold would help with the drying, but in her case it does not.
I had a client whose nails did not dry ever. The only color that would dry on her was black. If you put any other color on her, her nails got very warm and the polish just stayed wet. It was weird.
I wish I could help you with a suggestion that would make the polish dry, but I can't. The only thing I can suggest is to have a small fan and have her dry at least two minutes between coats. I am assuming this is a natural nail client??? If you do use a fan, the cold will bother her even more. You may want a heating pad UNDER her hand while the fan dries the nails.
Please let us know what you do and what helped.
