I know the schools are there to teach you how to pass the state board, but ..
there should be 1 teacher and a assistant for each class. 1 to go over the
book work and 1 to do hands on and teach. At my school we have room for 15
students. So you do the chapters in the book and as students graduate new
students come in... that's fine, but the students that have been there longer
pay the price because the teacher is always playing catch up and like in my
case, the last maybe 4 weeks of my class I sat in another empty class room
learning on my own because the chapters they were going over I did already and
the teacher cant stop for me cause she has to keep pace. Don't let me get
started with the fact that we had 15 students and sometimes only 4 tests to go
around. we would have to wait until the other students took the test to start
ours... that wasted alot of practice time.. and clients nights - (wed) we
would have to wait for the clients to show for there appointment and alot of
the times they didn't show and I don't understand how the school gets the money
for the service and we have to use our own supplies... sorry just alittle
venting.... I really wish the state would come by and do more spot inspections
of the schools.... I think if we the schools were better regulated the nail
techs would be more knowledgeable and better trained.... just my
thoughts... I have more, but don't want to bore you all ....
