Marsha, ?I get $10. extra on gel or Acrylic for gel polish. Toes, too 10 extra.? It really does not take anymore time, you are charging for time knowledge and product.? On acrylic or gel,? do your regular fill,?you get to the finish file and DO NOT buff, Gel needs a rough? not shinny surface to?adhere.?just?dust the nails and apply gel polish one finger at a time back and forth under the light Next a coat of IBD's Intense seal and cure for 3 min.? DONE. The only time you would have to apply clear gel first is on natural nails as a base to get the gel polish to adhere.?That is usually only 1 coat.?As for top coat if you are using a sealer like Intense seal that is it, nothing else needed.? You would only need two coats of? gel-polish if the color is too sheer for what you want.?The sealer stays shinny and there should be no need for top coat of any kind.? DO you have someone Family or friend that you can play and practice on?? It is great and there is no way to smudge anything. Good luck Dawn swt...@aol.com Lancaster,PA

Angie. I took the class and the suggestion from the educator, I believe, was $30-$40. I will charge $30 which is $10 more than?my basic manicure. I haven't experimented with them yet, so I don't know if you must follow their directions exactly. The process seems very time consuming if?they are used over gel enhancements and I don't know if it's worth it. After the gel fill, you apply the gel polish using the same method as for natural nails. (2 clear gel coats, at least 2 polish coats, & topcoat) It's the 2 additional clear gel coats that is the problem and I don't know if they are really needed. Anybody else know? ? (I am a Brisa user) I am very impressed with their gel polish (soakable). What I learned with their soakable gel is that you must use clear soakable gel as the first layer on the natural nail. Their soakable gel?does not strengthen natural nails. If your natural nails are? weak they need to be filed to 1/8" length or they are subject to break. If your nails are strong, then you can wear them longer. I am impressed with the fact that the topcoat on my nails?is still shiney, showing no wear or fine scratches, after more than 2 weeks. I haven't tried any other manufacturers soakable gel polish to date. I want to be able to offer my clients their favorite OPI polish colors in gel! You can certainly file off this gel polish?by hand....and gel is much easier to file away than is acrylic! ? Sorry) I am a new tech (less than 1 year) I am still learning acrylics and want to learn gel. I have heard about the soakable gels. Does anyone know if the Brisa system is soakable or do you have to efile. I have never taken a class on efiles so until I do I would feel more comfortable learning by hand filing and soaking off. Thanks. ?Melody, ?As far as the reflexology, no you will not learn by a book. I would try to find a school nearby you that you could take the course. If there is no one around you I do know they have reflexology through distance learning where they send you tapes to learn off of. You could also find a reflexologist and get a session just to see what the pressure is and how their technique is. Any more questions please email me privately as I do not want to get off topic and get in trouble with the group :) Shannon K. Shannon Kuharik??
