The client is able to remove the gel polish at home. No need to pay a nail tech to remove it properly and safely. That, in itself, makes a huge difference. And they do not give added strength to the nail. Whatever they are called, soakable gel polish is a new service that can appeal to a new group. The client can decide if it's misleading marketing. I have great results with it. I don't see that it compares to "manicures that last 3 weeks" Perhaps I don't remember exactly, but it seems that those ads had pictures of what appeared to be extensions. Soaking in acetone or filing them off cannot be good for the natural nails. If you are going to do any of these things to natural nails, then why not just have enhancements. JMHO.
