Hey everyone!! I am the queen of brazilians in my area. This story first surfaced last week. My oldest son called me when he heard about it. Now it is all over the radio stations. WMMR had it on this morning but I missed most of it. I have a client that comes to me from south Jersey for his brazilians. He cannot find anyone there to do it for him. I do not think it is due to the rulings of no brazilians. I think it is just that not too many techs do them. We have not heard WHY or WHAT happened to these women. Does anyone think that this could be yet again another chop shop that is doing something they shouldn't? Like waxing without the proper licensing? Or taking a waxing history? Kind of like the pedi throne fiascos? Not taking the correct steps for the service? You know clients need to wake up. Why don't they ask questions? This is not solely the fault of the salon. Clients need to know what is being done and the problems that could happen. Some clients lie. They will not tell you they use thinners or exfoliants. This leaves them prime for tears or burning. Jersey needs to think this through before they rule in a few weeks. And if clients continue to patronize places that are sub standard/not following state board regs, well they deserve what they get. Until I know what the injuries were and WHERE they went I will not get my thongs and my brazilian upset!!! And like Nicole-- no one will tell me that I cannot go hairless in PA!!
