I used a palm pilot for the longest time... now I have an iPhone... and I back it up on my computer so that I don't need to have a paper schedule book. The girls in my salon all do the paper thing... I don't like it.. and like Caralyn said.. if you have your iPhone or palm with you.. you can do the booking right then and there on the phone... much more convenient and you don't run the risk of losing the client.
BTW... I too am a booth renter, have been since I started.. and I love booking my own appt's and being in control of my bookings. Good luck!
