My set up used to be at my nail table. Had all my things set up on
my nail table, the client sat across from me with towels on my lap,
and the nail lamp underneath the client on a towel.

this was the side of my table, not the clients foot on the nail
table!!!! LOLOLO, But this was tearing my back up, the client was
uncomfortable. so my boss built me a a padded board, that slips over
our ped throne tub. The padded board covers the tub and the water
faucet knobs (in case the water comes on accidently,
electricity/water do not like each other). This has saved my back and
the clients legs.

My problem as of last night, is carrying my gel products back and
forth. Just this morning I ordered a cart, metal, with flat top and
4 huge drawers with rollers, they are having a sale from the midwest
show, www.midwestsalon.com I will keep all bling/gel in this
cart. The gel lamp will sit on top of the cart.

The products I use are different. I use Mani-Q because I like the
consistency of the product. I also use Base n. Gloss from Akzentz
because it is also so easy to use and Gina has the best videos on
line that you will ever find
(http://www.gelessentialz.com/home.html) You can use any clear
gel. I am not promoting one product line because I have not tested
all products yet. I want to try Vic's line, and also Entity line,
and yep, Light Elegance line also.

If this keeps up, want to splurge and buy a battery operated e-file
from Gina. Big bucks, but will be so much easier than hand filing
and carrying my efile back and forth.

It takes me about 45 minutes now for this, from set up to clean
up. The cart will take this time down, and the efile will take down
the time even more, want to do 30 minute bookings.

I watched bling toes at the Young nail booth while in Chicago, they
were sprinkling away. But the glitter waste was too much for
me. Glitter can be expensive. Lynnette and me were WOW, too much
waste for us!!!! I tried to sprinkle again yesterday, just not happening.

And I still for the life of me just don't get not curing the gel
before you add the glitter. Maybe you gel experts can explain this.
If you want to make sure that you have zero lifting because the gel
did not cure, I would think that you would want that first layer to
be cured. It wouldn't matter what you put on top of that first
layer, black glitter, dense glitter, wouldn't matter. Because the
first layer is cured. Now if you added your thin layer of gel, added
a dense glitter, there would be a chance that the light (cured) would
not get to the gel. Cure from the top down. Taking a chance that it
did not cure is not worth it to me. Just don't get it. Just like ac,
the first layer is what counts. Doesn't matter what you put on top,
that first layer is what attaches to the natural nail.

Anyway we are talking 4 minutes, 2 minutes each foot, and I am
working on the other foot while the first layer is curing.

And I am putting a free set on a probation officer in about 4 weeks
because she is in court all day long and always wears opened toed
shoes in the summer. Another advertising slam dunk!!!!

hope this answered your questions. diana from indiana
