40% is very high considering you are supplying everything except the space. Your salon owner has a lot of nerve asking you to allow another tech to use your space/equipment and am I getting this right supplies? If that is the case, maybe you can work out a deal and become a booth renter and sublet to this person. That is very nervy of that owner.....wow, things never cease to amaze me these days.
