I totally understand where you're coming from about $$$, but to be honest try to afford something better than $100. Even if you have to save and wait to get it... or ask someone to charge it for you.. and you pay them back.
I started out with inexpensive $79 Lasco. Did fine .. as long as I didn't do much as far as acrylic or gels extensions.
I talked to many of the gals on line here, as most of us were coming on line about the same time.. then I took the nails at sea cruise with Vicki, and really asked questions. This was back in about 1995 I think. So Vicki wasn't assocated w/ any manufacturer at that time..
I weighed all that was said and ( a couple yrs later) Kupa had a deal I just couldn't pass up.. I was at the Chicago show ..( freezin' my tuttie off !) I can't honestly say what I paid for it as I just plain forget now.. but I'd say it was around $400 a few bits included.
I have never regreted buying that machine to this day.. it is what I use. Kupa stands behind their machines.. I have sent the hand piece back probably 4 times at no charge and they have "corrected" my mistakes w/ it. You can not beat that kind of warranty!
May I also highly reccomend.. what ever machine bits you have now.. if you get a new machine, throw the old one's out!
Yeah all new bits.. because no matter what they will be harmful to a new machine. Be sure to invest in really good bits too... none of those extremely cheap one's. Remember you get what you pay for!
I also change out my bits about every 6 months. I do not need any wobble.. to mess up the fine work of that Kupa! I can't even tell it is running it runs so smooth.. I have to look at the light!
The diff between a good finishing machine and a "drill"... is price.. and performance.. and warranty. I kept my Lasco.. as back up.. and finally brouht it home to do my on feet and my hubbies, now.. I have no idea where it is.. around here some where! lol
If it makes ya fee better.. break down the price.. call and ask if you can make payments, like lay a way.. who knows, in this day and age even HSN and QVC has figured out how to sell... they let people make payments!!!!!
Hopefully some of the companies will see this email and go... OH YEAH ! We can do that! make payments.. and it will keep them in business!
All else fails.. get one credit card. Charge it, and pay it of as quickly as possible... setting aside each day ( at the shop) X amt of $ to go to the machine fund!
Could even put a jar on the table.. Marked.. "finishing machine fund" maybe the clients will give?
Or do a special " Finishing Machine Fund" pedicure special BOGO - Free or something. Then call up all the clients and let them know what your doing.. ask if they will help you out.. by coming in !

Premier and Nailite have similar drills for about &100. Does anyone have either? Howlight are the hand pieces?I'd live ti buy something super fancy and expensive, but I just can't afford it. Any thoughts?
I ordered mine from Nailite and I believe it was less than $100. It also came with about 7 bits. I love it!Kim TobinReflections

ok guys. I just took Tammy's workshop and I am SOO inspired and
psyched! I really would like to get an efile but would like to know if
there are any good, cheap ones out there? I know cheap will not last
forever but I cannot afford too much right now. Thanks guys!!
