Caralyn, There are more "upscale" salons that ARE nss. The nss is ANY place that does not follow industry standards. Sadly most people are using that term to mean the chop shop ideal. I worked at THREE places that most would think was upscale. ALL American owned and operated. ALL were nss! What you experienced was sexual harassment. Sadly that is not uncommon.
