Hey Michelle ! The Gelish LED lamp IS expensive. They are saying that It will be $299 when released in April. When I bought my Gelish kit, I got a certificate for $100 off when the lamp is released. I have a large group of ladies that I do a spa day with every month. For me, It should be paid off with one visit. Other gels can not be placed in an LED lamp. The Gelish is formulated for this purpose. Other gels in the lamp will FRY it ( for lack of better words). It would overcure them & make them brittle, plus I don't even want to imagine the possible exothermic reaction. Yeow !
