I just use the pads of my fingers to take them in and out. And I don't rush! When I clean them, I use my knuckle instead of my fingertip.

Dayna, I would like to know how you handle your contact lenses! I wear them and that's why I don't wear stilettos. What's your secret !! Thanks Jess, I have the same clients that want them short! I am hoping that I can gain new clients that are interested in stilettos. I have just started wearing them and I am addicted! Since I have been wearing the stilettos, there is nothing I can't do. Most things have to be done with extra care. There are just certain things I am not going to rush! My clients can't believe that I have no problems typing and are extra surprised when they hear that I don’t even have issues with my contact lenses! Above all, I love the challenge ... these aren't easy nails to do. Every set I do on myself get better and better. Pics are aready on facebook. I would love some constructive criticism (in private messages please) ! H Michelle! Tammy will be great to talk you through it. If you want to SEE and have a demo done, I'm only in Bellevue :) May not be soon enough for this client, but it might help if you have questions or want to perfect the structure. I'll be at the Vancouver show in April if you plan on attending and will certainly end up showing stilettos in class or on the show floor. Congrats. I think your the first one in Washington to have someone want stilettos! LOL Dayna, good idea about the waver, you never know with people these days and if their stiletto causes permanent damage from getting it caught or something you don't want to be the one to pay! And I think you also brought up a good idea about what to charge. I'd probably charge 1.5x a regular full set if someone actually wanted them (which would make it $135). If they want to keep the design then a regular fill is a piece of cake and would be $60 for me. If they want to change it all out, then its a new set. Stilettos and edge shapes are fun, I love wearing edge. I do tons of glitter but I work in a pretty computer heavy place (microsoft land) and people want their nails short so they can type (I tell them I type hours a night but they can't imagine typing with long nails). Most of them are dying to shorten them when they come in at 4-6 weeks for their fill.... some end up shortening themselves around 3 weeks. People around here want them short. Have fun making those stilettos! I saw a video online with a white tip where you just cut the sides away... or should I attempt to sculpt? I normally sculpt... lol... but my nails are normally square!!! Ok, so any tips and insight would be helpful.... I think I am going to do them with a/c because I am more comfortable with it than gel... > > HELP!!!
