Hi you all,
We're planning on taking our 3 little nieces (ages 7, 9, & 11) to
the beach for Spring break in the Gulf shores, AL., Orange Beach, or
Pensacola, FL. area for the nights of April 8th/9th/10th, but we're
getting bogged down on all the internet choices!
Since we aren't terribly familiar with the area and all the online
bookings seem to tack on several fees (such as a reservation fee,
service fee, cleaning fee, breathing fee.....just kidding on that last
one), it jacks the price up considerably. Then you have to add tax to
it all, too. The ads lure you in with low prices, but then by the time
you get finished clicking on each photo of each particular unit,
putting in your data, then you get to the end with a new dollar amount
that is unaffordable.
We'd welcome any suggestions you all might have on rentals for a
2BR/2BA condo, beach house, or hotel suite (must be more than 1 small
room, because if it rains and we're trapped with 3 whining, bored
kids......either my husband or myself will snap, and it won't be
pretty). The dates are not flexible, but everything else is! We'd be
open to KOA kamping cabins even!
It doesn't have to be new and luxurious, just clean and near the
beach. We've checked into VRBO already, but would like to get more
input from people that are in the know. Any suggestions?
