Mary Jo, They are similar. I think the timer will be different, but the overall design and slip out foot piece is the same. I have seen them on Chinese wholesale sites!! I LOVE this one from Star. My clients love it. No more "musical hands" with the back and forth four finger light. The cure time is 3 min due to the high amount of pigment...but I have been known to cure for 2 and it is fine. You can order the colors in the small pots...I think the wesite is listing the specials on the larger ones. I use the blue shop towels and get them at walmart...any lint free wipe you like is fine. I believe you get a minimum of 10 applications...but it is more like 15 as you use such a small amount. Hope this helps...never be sorry for asking questions...
